The regular visa instruction page asks for a JPEG of 10–300 KB, square, full face, eyes open, head from the top of the hair to the bottom of the chin. The head is 25–35 mm (1 to 1⅜ inch) on a 2×2 basis, which is about 49–69% of the square. The background is plain light or white, with no shadows and no border.
The eye-height sentence is cut off on the official page after a minimum near 1⅛ inch. We do not invent the missing maximum. Glasses, headwear, and photo age are not stated on that page.
Do
- Keep the JPEG between 10 and 300 KB.
- Show the full head and open eyes.
- Use a plain light background with no border.
