Rules
IRCC asks for two identical photographs, at least 35 mm wide and 45 mm tall, on photo paper. Chin to crown is 31–36 mm. The picture may be black and white or colour, on a plain white or light background, with a neutral expression and a closed mouth.
Non-tinted prescription glasses are allowed when the eyes stay clear. A religious head covering is allowed when the face is visible. The photo is from the last 6 months.

- Print two identical copies on photo paper.
- Keep the face between 31 and 36 mm.

Don't
- Do not use this file for a permanent resident card. That print is 50×70 mm.
