Rules
The permanent resident card page asks for a JPEG between 715×1000 and 2000×2800 pixels, no larger than 4 MB, taken in the last 12 months. The background is plain white and untextured. A paper photo is 50×70 mm, with the head 31–36 mm from the chin to the top of the head, not counting hair.
White clothing is discouraged. Glasses may stay if there is no glare. A religious head covering worn daily, or a medical covering, may stay when the face is visible.
Do
- Use a plain white background and keep white clothing out of the frame.
- Keep the head, excluding hair, between 31 and 36 mm.
- Stay inside 4 MB.
Don't
- Do not retouch the face or change the background after the file is finished.
- Do not use the 35×45 mm temporary resident visa size for this card.
- Do not submit a picture older than 12 months.
