Rules
The Australian Passport Office asks for two photos, 35–40 mm wide and 45–50 mm high, face 32–36 mm from chin to crown, on plain white or light grey. Expression is neutral. Smiling is shown as unacceptable. Glasses are not allowed except for a medical reason. The photo is under 6 months old.
The same page says the office does not recommend an online photo service or a phone app. This page does not claim the passport office will accept a Get2x2 file. Prints they describe are dye-sublimation on glossy paper, not a home inkjet.
Do
- Keep the face between 32 and 36 mm.
- Use white or light grey and a neutral mouth.
- Remove glasses and earbuds.
Don't
- Do not smile.
